Sports Facilities At Craigavon Senior High School the Physical Education Department's philosophy is to provide an enjoyable learning experience within the confines of the Northern Ireland Curriculum. The Department staff caters for all pupils with options through games, fitness, athletics and outdoor education. The department offers GCSE physical education as well as the core Northern Ireland curriculum.
Within the GCSE course pupils get to specialize as well as learn the skills needed for specific activities. They also learn to look after and improve their own personal fitness. They learn what makes sport and the sports' person operate. The department encourages extra curricular sport and provides a large variety of activities for the pupils.

As well as those activities in school, pupils may add to their profiles the activity they enjoy outside school. Pupils who do GCSE have gone on to do further education courses in PE, sports studies and leisure.
