Being chosen to act in a television programme is a rare and coveted happening, so when GCSE student, Emma Lynas, was offered a part in a series of ‘shorts’ for the BBC, she was, understandably, ‘over-the-moon!’
Emma, a member of ‘Revolution’, part of the Tinderbox Theatre Company, was selected for the role when the group attended an Open Audition at the BBC.
The series is about members of a Youth Club who are staging a play and the many difficulties which arise along the way, such as Emma getting drenched by a sprinkler and covered in cold coffee.
During the ten days of filming at Blackstaff Studios, Emma had her very own dressing room and was coached by a professional actress who, herself, has had parts in television productions.
The budding actress states that the experience was ‘really good fun’ and it would appear from her enthusiasm that she has definitely been bitten by the acting bug! Let’s hope many more roles will follow in the future – well done Emma!
