In the words of CEA ‘the achievements of the most outstanding learners in Northern Ireland deserve to be celebrated’. With this in mind, on the 28th April 2010, CEA held a ceremony which publicly recognised those individuals who are ‘accomplished, motivated and skilled’. One student who successfully fulfilled all the criteria for the award was Claire Steele. Claire, at a ceremony held in the CCEA building at Clarendon Dock, was awarded the ‘Being the Best’ Certificate in Occupational Studies, a course which she completed between 2007 and 2009 at Craigavon Senior High School. Being the recipient of this certificate is a truly exceptional achievement for Claire as the number of nominees for the award ran into the thousands. She and her Occupational Studies Teacher, Mrs O’Neill, deserve a huge congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment.
