2008 The National Year of Reading
“Show me a child who doesn't read, and I'll show you a child who has never been introduced to the right book” ( Paul Jennings )

The National Year of Reading aims to encourage people who aren't reading to start and people who already are, to read more. It is a year of celebration, highlighting enjoyment of reading and its benefits. The Library plays a key role in how successful the National Year of Reading is. Students who haven't discovered the joy of reading yet should visit their school library and familiarise themselves with what is on the shelves. Craigavon Senior High School is fortunate to have two well-stocked libraries with some of the latest and most exciting reads on offer. Even if you have never read a book before, give it a go now, you might just be surprised at how enjoyable reading can be!
