Duke of Edinburgh
Pupils have the opportunity to undertake the Bronze Level Duke of Edinburgh Award. The award has four sections; Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. Participants must do a minimum of 3 months activity for each of the first three sections and plan, train for and do a 2 day (1 night) expedition.
We encourage our pupils to become involved in a variety of charitable ventures. Such involvement develops the values of sharing and respect for others and encourages social responsibility and a sense of citizenship.
Cross Community Activities
The school recognises its responsibility towards helping to heal community division and welcomes opportunities for involvement in cross community activities.
The school choir comes together to support special events such as Prize Day. The Christmas season also offers opportunities for the choir to contribute to the life of the school.
Christian Union/Scripture Union
The school has thriving Christian Union/Scripture Union groups on both campuses that meet on a weekly basis, often with guest speakers supporting the programmes. The groups also enjoy various outings including residetial weekends.
Subject Support Groups
Subject Support Groups are a feature of life at Craigavon Senior High School. Pupils who feel that they would benefit from additional teacher support can avail of these clubs after school.
