Learning for Life and Work Why study Learning for Life and Work?
Through the study of real life situations and scenarios, GCSE Learning for Life and Work will provide you with opportunities to explore and express your own values and attitudes concerning human rights, social and economic responsibilities and develop an appreciation of the needs and views of others.
The aims of the course will offer you the opportunity to:
● develop knowledge and understanding of personal, social, cultural, political and economic issues in contemporary society; ● develop an understanding of the different values and attitudes, needs and perspectives of your own and other communities; ● develop the skills necessary for independent thinking, informed decision-making and action in relation to personal, economic, employment and social issues; ● develop relevant personal, interpersonal, literacy, numeracy and ICT skills; ● develop the skills knowledge and attitudes for life long learning and work.
What does the GCSE course involve?
GCSE Learning for Life and Work is a modular course and you will have the opportunity to study the following:
Module 1: LOCAL AND GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP i) Diversity and Inclusion ii) Equality and Social Justice, iii) Democracy in Action

There is one tier of entry which allows pupils to achieve grades A*- G
